dc.description.abstractScanty or lack of research papers on construction stakeholder management in relation to the construction manager’s decision making adopted on stakeholder attributes rationalized the need to highlight the concept. Thus, this study sought to assess the decision-making strategies adopted by construction managers on stakeholder attributes at the Effutu Municipal Assembly. The subsequent objectives were set to guide the study: identify the decision-making strategies adopted by construction managers on stakeholder attributes; identify stakeholder attributes that are more distinct in the construction industry; and identify the impact of decision-making strategies adopted by construction managers on stakeholder attributes on the successful implementation of projects. The study adopted critical review of germane literature on decision-making strategies adopted by construction managers on stakeholder attributes. The quantitative research approach was thus adopted to address the preceding objectives. A total of 65 questionnaires were administered and 51 were completed representing a response rate of 78.46%. That is, the research analysis was grounded on this response rate. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and mean score ranking. It was revealed that the most adopted decision-making strategy was giving out information to build relationship with stakeholders –having a mean value of 3.14. Similarly, it was revealed that the most distinct attribute of stakeholders in the construction industry was utilitarian power with financial or material resources (e.g. money, goods possession, and services) –having a mean value of 2.98. The study concluded that Decision making strategies adopted by construction managers on stakeholder attributes for construction projects is important for project success as the construction industry is undoubtedly crucial to the GDP and sustainable development of most economies, particularly developing countries like Ghana. The study thus recommended that proper channels should be created for effective communication between construction managers and the various project stakeholdersen_US
