dc.description.abstractIn Ghana, the "trotro" is the main public transport mode in cities. The privately owned public transport operators include the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, (GPRTU), Progressive Transport Owners Associations (PROTOA), Co-operatives and several others. The public transport services are characterized low journey speeds, long travel times, long turn around times, etc in the urban areas which results in the loss of productivity man hours.en_US
