dc.description.abstractThis project is about stage designing and construction for puppetry and how a very simple collapsible puppet stage is constructed to aid in puppet shows and pedagogical programmes It describes the four main types of puppets: shadow glove, rod and marionette and how these puppets can be constructed from simile materials I: also discusses the historical development and uses of puppetry in countries like India, China, Japan, Britain and Italy in relation to development of puppetry in Ghana A multi-purpose collapsible stage, suitable for all the four main types of puppets, has been constructed to aid children, teachers and professional puppeteers to construct their own.en_US
