Abstract
Infrastructure development has been noted as one imperative pathway for socio-economic development of any country. Yet many developing countries still face the challenge of providing infrastructure. Among other things, finance has been a major issue when it comes to infrastructural development particularly urban road projects. This study was conducted to ascertain the various obstacles that inhibit urban roads financing in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. A total sample of 50 respondents were selected from various key institution such as the Ghana Highway Authority, Ministry of Road and Transportation, Urban Road Contractors and African Development Bank.
