Abstract: This project is about how puppets can be constructed and used in basic education, to aid dramatization of stories and teaching of art and literature. It also describes the tools, materials, and the four main types of puppets; shadow, glove, rod and marionette, and their appropriate theatres. Sample puppets of the various categories have been constructed as a means of aiding teachers and pupils to construct their own.
