Abstract
Since the birth of Hammerstein’s non-linear integral equation in 1930, much research has been undertaken. In early 1960, Zarantonello, Minty and Kacurovskii introduced the theory of monotone mappings. From this time forward, many authors have studied Hammerstein’s type operator equations in various directions and forms. These studies have peaked at monotone maps in uniformly convex Banach spaces. In this thesis, we study Hammerstein’s type operator equation in more general Reflexive Banach spaces (eg., Hilbert spaces, L spaces, l<p<∞) with maximal monotone mappings. We have employed regularization techniques to study solutions of the Hammerstein’s type operator equations.
