Moreover, the interviewees reverberate competitive advantage, complex activity list, complex project scope statement, limited resources, fast-tracking, project delays, client’s demand, dynamism of technology, cost overrun, time overrun and unavailability of funds as factors affecting choice of scope management. Interestingly, the participants were quite uniform in their assessment of the impacts of scope management practice can have on a project that is improve performance, enhance project failure or success. The study found that, barriers that affect successful application of scope management practice were lack of professional training or expertise, lack of PM knowledge and bribery and corruption.
